Six months ago Hillary Clinton had the Democratic Presidential nomination all locked up. She had widespread public recognition after spending so much of her life in the spotlight. She had proven experience for the job with close to a decade in the senate and a full term as Secretary of State. She made the prospect of the first female US President seem not only achievable but likely, and was following Obama’s lead making best buds with pop culture icons like Jimmy Fallon and Lena Dunham.

Then Bernie happened. Against all odds, a 74-year-old relatively unknown senator from Vermont raving about socialism swooped in with the enthusiasm of your great uncle at a Sunday roast and stole all her thunder like it was freshly-made corned beef. The #kidz loved him. Though he was the oldest candidate in the race, he provided rare representation on issues (particularly concerning the economy) which affected young people and seemed genuine as hell about real change. Soon enough, Larry David was lovingly portraying him on SNL and poor ol’ Hill’ was becoming known through the desperation of a wild-eyed, pleading Kate McKinnon.

With the Democratic primaries going her way in Florida, North Carolina and Ohio today, Hillary looks increasingly set to prevail. Crunching the maths on the remaining races, Vox have concluded it’s “all-but-impossible” for Sanders to catch her. “[He] would have to win practically every remaining state by gigantic margins,” they wrote this afternoon.

Cue this clip which just dropped from the upcoming episode of Broad City. It features a cameo from Hillary and a reaction from the main ladies which suggests she might actually be a disguised version of Beyoncé who’s just asked to hook up with Ilana and stuffed Abbi’s hands full of vouchers to Bed Bath & Beyond.

Oh Hill’, I feel for ya.

“Howdy, millennials.”
