Chris Pratt And Tom Holland Are Not-So-Magical Elves In The First Trailer For Pixar’s ‘Onward’
Dragons and centaurs and... panel vans?
From heartwarming tales of talking toys to mind-boggling adventures set entirely in a little girl’s head, no studio does movie magic quite like Pixar. So I guess it’s only fitting that their latest film, about actual magical creatures, looks purposefully, hilariously mundane.
The first trailer for Onward introduces us to a world in which centaurs, gnomes, trolls and mermaids live humdrum lives in the suburbs. Tom Holland and Chris Pratt play a pair of elves who set out on a quest… in a panel van with a unicorn painted on the side.
It’s a weird pitch, but frankly I’ll watch anything this company churns out. And if it’s anything like their other movies, I’ll probably be a blubbering wreck by the time it finishes.
