Pixar’s Latest Short Film ‘Bao’ Is Now Available To Watch Online For Free
Spoilers: it'll probably make you cry.
Quick little public service announcement for you: Pixar’s latest short film Bao is currently available to watch online for free. And like pretty much everything else the studio releases, it’s probably going to make you cry.
The eight minute short, which originally played in cinemas in front of Incredibles 2, was written and directed by Domee Shi, making it the first of Pixar’s short films to be helmed by a woman. It tells the story of a lonely Chinese mother and her complicated relationship with her son, who also happens to be a delicious pork bun.
Look, it’s a bit weird, but keep in mind this is the same company that made a movie about monsters using children’s screams to power their city. So just bear with them.
The short was released on YouTube yesterday, and will only be online for a week. Check it out below.
