Pink’s Sydney show tonight has been postponed while the singer recovers from a gastric virus — the same sickness that also prevented her from performing last night.
“Pink’s performance scheduled for tonight at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena has been postponed,” promotion company Live Nation said this morning. “Pink was admitted to hospital on Sunday night, treated and discharged. She was readmitted on Monday.”
At the moment, there’s no news about any other cancellations. Pink is due to perform five more shows in Sydney, as well as seven shows in Brisbane and a couple in Melbourne later in the month.
On Sunday, Pink was admitted into hospital after “suffering from dehydration”, before later receiving the diagnosis of a gastric virus.
Viral gastroenteritis is an infection that causes cramps, nausea and vomiting. Symptoms can affect you for anywhere from two to ten days.
Pink caused a stir last week after she was seen in Byron Bay after cancelling an earlier Sydney show due to sickness.
In an Instagram post, the singer fought back against claims that she had quit on her show too easily.
“I scheduled this tour meticulously, trying to do what was best for my children, while also putting on the best and most physically demanding and beautiful show of my life,” the post read. “This break in Byron has been scheduled since 2017, as a way to get outside the hotel and the winter and have some time with my children.”
“I have never fucked off while disrespecting hard working people who spend money to come see me play. I have never phoned in a single tour, I have an impeccable record for not cancelling.”
