People Are Having A Sick Time Making Fun Of Trump’s Fake, Swedish Terrorist Attack
The "Swedish incident" has become an excellent way to roast Trump.
Over the weekend, President Donald Trump said a lot of dumb shit. One of the dumber things that he said was making a link between Sweden’s intake of refugees and the terrorist attack that happened in Sweden over the weekend. Except, that terror attack didn’t actually happen. He made it up.
“You look at what’s happening in Germany, you look at what’s happening last night in Sweden,” Trump said in Florida. “Sweden, who would believe this. Sweden… They took in large numbers. They’re having problems like they never thought possible.”
This morning he has blamed the mistake on Fox News, which is kind of like deciding on the first day of a new school year that your only friend is actually your enemy now and you are way too cool to be associated with them. Who ya gonna sit with at lunch, man?
White House representatives have since said that Trump was referring to an interview with a documentary filmmaker, which aired on Fox on Friday night, in which they discussed the general increase in crime (not terrorism) in Sweden.
My statement as to what's happening in Sweden was in reference to a story that was broadcast on @FoxNews concerning immigrants & Sweden.

In dark times, sometimes the only thing to do (aside from #resist) is to laugh. And boy, has the internet had a swell time making fun of Trump and the #swedenincident.

Even Chelsea Clinton had a crack!
What happened in Sweden Friday night? Did they catch the Bowling Green Massacre perpetrators?

It’s all very funny until you think about how horrified most American citizens must be feeling when their elected leader is making a mockery of their goddamn country every time he opens his mouth.
Dear US. I live in Sweden. Nothing happened in Sweden last night. Your president is lying and we are now pretty pissed off. Thanks. /Sweden
