Peaches Geldof — the TV personality, model, writer, and socialite daughter of Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates — was found dead in her home in Kent early this morning. She was 25.

News of the death came just a day after the mother-of-two posted a baby photo of herself with her late mother — who died of a heroin overdose in 2000 when Peaches was just 11 — to Instagram (Me and my mum,” read the caption). According to BBC, Kent Police have released a statement calling the death “unexplained and sudden”.

“We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us,” said Bob Geldof in an official statement released this morning. “What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is.”

Peaches, a notorious partier and gossip fixture in her teenage years, had settled down in recent years, following her marriage to Thomas Cohen (lead singer of UK band S.C.U.M.) and the birth of sons Astala Dylan Willow in 2012 and Phaedra Bloom Forever just last year.

“My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons, Astala and Phaedra, and I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts every day,” Cohen wrote in a separate statement released this morning. “We shall love her forever.”
