Pass It On: This Missing Track From Kanye’s ‘The Life Of Pablo’ Is His Best Work Yet
Lyrical genius.
The reviews for Kanye’s latest much-hyped album The Life Of Pablo have been pretty favourable. Pitchfork’s Jayson Greene gave it 9/10 and praised it as “the first Kanye West album that’s just an album: no major statements, no reinventions, no zeitgeist wheelie-popping”. In his assessment of Kanye’s work to date, our own Simon Miraudo said it’s “18 tracks long [and] there’s not a weak link in the chain”. Kanye himself lauded it as “not album of the year [but] album of the life”.
One fault we can all agree on, however, is that it definitely needs more Kanye.
This little nugget of joy from YouTuber Derek Anderson comes just one day after @Seinfeld2000 made an inevitable mashup of the repetitive ‘I Love Kanye’ with the Seinfeld theme, and FasterLouder‘s Richard S. He became a literal clairvoyant. “The purest version of this album would be a remake of Being John Malkovich where Kanye crawls into his own brain and sees an entire world of Kanyes looking back at him, saying ‘Kanye’ repeatedly,” he wrote.
