Gym pranks: they’re a dime-a-dozen on YouTube. Something about sparkling tough guys preening in front of mirrors just seems ripe for lampooning, I guess? Unfortunately, this makes most of them pretty mean-spirited. Exercisers need encouragement, not ridicule! Enter the internet’s favourite new web comedian, fresh from reciting one-liners for Reddit users: Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In an effort to help promote after-school health and fitness, the Hollywood action hero went undercover at Gold’s Gym in Venice, California, playing a fitness instructor named ‘Howard’… who looks exactly like Arnold Schwarzenegger, but with a ponytail and a goofy moustache. “You look so familiar to me…”, asks a distracted young woman. “Maybe you saw me on the FBI’s Most Wanted list,” replies ‘Howard’. But even though he knew he wasn’t fooling anyone with functional eyeballs, Arnie had fun trying:
