Well it’s 2022 and while variants of COVID remain at large, so do celebrities.

This means that they must continue to hand trophies to each other, or in this year’s case, slap their colleagues in the face, lest we forget they exist.

An eclectic selection of films have received nominations this year, including Don’t Look Up, Dune, The Power Of The Dog and CODA. And a bunch of people have been nominated too, like Jane Campion, Jessica Chastain, Benedict Cumberbatch and Denzel Washington.

It was also a massive night for straight couples, with married couples Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem; and Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons, all up for gongs. As for Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, well, we are still recovering from that whole situation.
