Not Even Effy From ‘Skins’ Can Get Me Excited For Another ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ Movie
Urgh.
Disney have just dropped the new trailer for the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie (yes, there’s another one)!
This one features zombie sharks, Effy from Skins (Kaya Scodelario) and a creepily de-aged CGI Jack Sparrow. Can we please have a moratorium on that technology, it’s very unsettling.
Stop it.
Dead Men Tell No Tales — the fifth entry to the franchise — will see Captain Jack on a quest to find the Trident of Poseidon (no but actually) in order to protect himself from Captain Salazar, a spooky ghost played by Javier Bardem who is trying to kill him.
Basically it looks like every other Pirates sequel. You have been warned.
Remember when Johnny Depp used to be the best thing about these movies? How times change. The guy they got to replace Orlando Bloom seems like he’s having fun at least, good for him.
