Nicki Minaj Is Paying Off Fans’ Student Loans And Spreading Good Vibes All Over The Internet

Your girl Nicki Minaj isn’t just a top-notch rapper, style queen and expert shade-thrower — she’s also a humanitarian benefactor. This weekend Minaj has taken to Twitter to chat with struggling US fans who are struggling to pay off their college tuition fees. And guess what? She’s helping them out.

Minaj tweeted to her followers offering to pay for international flights for whoever won a contest to hang with her at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. One brazen follower, CJ, tweeted back “well you wanna pay for my tuition?”

Not one to stare down a challenge, Minaj replied in the affirmative, but with a catch:

Minaj was then flooded with tweets from fans with perfect grades and student loan dramas, begging for her to assist them. Many US students are buried under insane amounts of loan debt by the time they leave college, so desperate they’ll turn to a celeb for assistance. Minaj subsequently agreed to assist over 30 struggling students, with gifts of around $500 to assist with tuition, buy books and pay off back loans so they could study unencumbered by financial woes.

The students simply had to send proof of their A grades, and their financial need, to Minaj via Twitter DM. And, as TMZ confirmed via one lucky fan, Minaj is already coming through with the goods; it’s been reported that Minaj has given over US$50,000 to fans for tuition assistance.

After a few hours, Minaj drew a line under the competition (I mean, she’s not made of money), but promised to come back to fans with another offer of assistance in the next month or so.

Needless to say, the internet has some pretty glowing words for the Big Kahuna:
