Much like those Keep Calm posters during the Blitz, Nick Offerman’s moustache has long been an emblem of strength and quiet authority, radiating calm power to all those who’ve needed it.

When Offerman popped up at the Sundance Film Festival over the weekend, though, the moustache was nowhere to be seen. What has replaced it is…different.

This is a minor tragedy. Nick Offerman now looks less like Ron Swanson and more like an ageing hipster.
