Last year, Miley Cyrus casually mentioned that she was working on a stack of Metallica material, supposedly as part of a full-blown cover album.

It seemed too wild to be true, and turns out it was: Cyrus isn’t recording a full Metallica covers album, rather she has contributed a cover to the band’s compilation called The Metallica Blacklist, which will accompany a reissue of the Black Album this September.

The covers album will feature acts like Phoebe Bridgers, St. Vincent, Biffy Clyro, Rina Sawayama, IDLES, and a heap more, covering classics like ‘Enter Sandman’, ‘The Unforgiven’ and ‘Nothing Else Matters’. All up, it’ll contain a whopping 53 covers — you can scope out the full list here.

Cyrus took on the unenviable task of covering ‘Nothing Else Matters’, and enlisted a bunch of artists to help — including Elton John, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, Metallica’s own Robert Trujillo, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, and WATT. Because you can never have enough friends.

Get your ears around it below. The Metallica Blacklist will land on September 10.
