Mike Itkis, a New York congressional candidate, has released his own sex tape in a bid to prove his sex-positive stance.

Yes, you read that right. An independent candidate running for New York’s congress released his own sex tape as part of his campaign.

According to his website, the 53-year-old Army cyber operations is, “Not married. No kids. Not celibate. Atheist.” In the tape, Itkis’ co-stars with performer, Nicole Sage.

The bold move is, according to Itkis, his way of showing solidarity with sex workers. “If I would just talk about it, it wouldn’t demonstrate my commitment to the issue,” Itkis told City and State.

“The fact I actually did it was a huge learning experience, and it actually influenced items on my platform,” he said. The items in question are Itkis’ commitment to legalising sex work, which has been an issue of focus for his campaign.

The video, titled ‘Bucket List Bonanza’ was filmed in 2021 in two parts, totalling 13 minutes. The video was posted to Pornhub three months ago, along with a post detailing how the video addresses Itkis’ political talking points.

The final talking point includes the issue of abortion as a “requirement in order for people who choose not to become parents to continue to enjoy the benefits of a healthy sex life.” Itkis covers this in the video, apparently, by clarifying that neither party wore protection for the production.

“I would like to reiterate that we have a lot of contradictory laws and court decisions on books dealing with human sexuality. The point of the video was to explore some of these issues,” Itkis reiterated in a tweet replying to an article about the tape.

Mike Itkis was a relatively unknown candidate prior to the notoriety spawned by his self-published sex tape. Suffice to say, voters will be far more aware of him now.
