Mike D, Ad-Rock, Ira Glass, Reggie Watts And Roberta Flack Are Bad Dancers In Yoko Ono’s New Clip
It's the video for Plastic Ono Band's 'Bad Dancer'. It is, of course, extremely weird.
Yoko Ono — that tiny powerhouse of legendary weirdness — is heading to Australia this month, for a conversation at Sydney Opera House — ‘War Is Over! (If You Want It)‘ — and a retrospective exhibition of the same name at Sydney’s MCA, which opens on November 15.
If her reputation as an avant-garde pioneer, political activist, film-maker and musician wasn’t enough to get you there, perhaps this will be. It’s the film clip of her band’s latest single, ‘Bad Dancer’, which features Beastie Boys’ Mike D and Ad-Rock, comedian Reggie Watts, soul legend Roberta Flack, The Roots’ drummer ?uestlove, New York-based Cibo Matto (who include Sean Lennon, the son of Ono and John Lennon) and, somewhat inexplicably, the host of This American Life: Ira Glass.
It turns out they are not all that bad at dancing!
Alright! Great clip! Let’s revisit the best bits.
