Michael Fassbender Is A Tech Genius, An Egomaniac And A Terrible Dad In The New ‘Steve Jobs’ Trailer

The guy who invented the thing you're (probably) reading this on.

The upcoming Steve Jobs biopic, imaginatively titled Steve Jobs, comes only two years after the one starring Ashton Kutcher came out in 2013, but it’s okay because that one was so bad everyone’s consciously given themselves collective amnesia about it.

The new Jobs biopic sees German-Irish actor and frighteningly square jawline Michael Fassbender step into the black turtleneck to paint a portrait of one of the greatest minds, biggest egos and most questionable style choices of the last few decades. Fassbender’s Jobs is a narcissist, an absentee father-in-denial, a prima donna and harbours delusions of grandeur so vast they somehow manage to outrun the very real and significant things he achieved. So, pretty much the real Steve Jobs to a tee.

Backing Fassbender up are a very Will McAvoy-esque Jeff Daniels, Kate Winslet as Jobs’ chronically neglected wife, and Seth Rogen, who seems perpetually bamboozled that he’s in this movie at all.

Also, is there a single movie at the moment that Michael Fassbender isn’t in? How does he have time to get his laundry done? Laundry is important, Michael. I hope you have your priorities in order.

Steve Jobs is in theatres October.
