The NSFW Trailer For Matthew McConaughey’s New Movie Looks Fucking Insane
He plays a drug-addled poet named Moondog who's friends with Zac Efron and Snoop Dogg.
Forget Dallas Buyers Club and True Detective, because Matthew McConaughey has finally found the role he was born to play: a long-haired, drug-addled poet named Moondog who spends his days hanging out at the beach with Snoop Dogg and Zac Efron.
On Friday, the first trailer dropped for The Beach Bum, the new film from Spring Breakers director Harmony Korine. There’s no James Franco in cornrows, but McConaughey walking around wearing a boat captain’s hat and trying to buy acid from a convenience store more than makes up for it.
“Life’s a fucking rodeo,” says Moondog towards the end of the trailer. “I’m gonna suck the nectar out of it and fuck it raw dog ’til the wheels come off.”
I mean, there are worse ways to live, I guess.
The Beach Bum hits cinemas in the US in March 2019.
