Wahoo! ‘Mario Kart’ Is Officially Coming To Your Phone And Fans Are Keen
We'll be playing it before March next year.
Nintendo has dropped a shell-shaped bomb, announcing that it is bringing a version of the stupendously popular multi-player game Mario Kart to mobile, called Mario Kart Tour.
There’s not a large amount of information available about the game, except that Nintendo says it is “now in development” but doesn’t specify how far along that development is. The release date will be somewhere before March 2019.
The announcement was released on Twitter:

The series is one of Nintendo’s most popular franchises, with the Guinness Book of Records listing it amongst the Best Selling Racing Games ever. The latest iteration of the game, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, hit the Nintendo Switch console last April and has since sold over 7.33 million copies. People love the plumber and his kart racing antics.
