This Excellent World Map Shows Where All The Popular Marvel Characters Were Born
It seems true heroes are born and raised in the USA.
It’s not a giant leap to assume the company that created ‘Captain America’ might be a touch patriotic, but the below infographic, which maps the origins of 75 popular Marvel characters, really hammers the point home: superheroes are born and raised in America while the rest of the world is a bubbling cauldron of evil, indiscriminately spitting out super-villains like nobody’s business.
The impressive infographic was designed by quirky real estate site Movoto and it makes for a pretty damning indictment of the rest of the world. Only one character hails from Australia, too: X-Man Pyro, who you may recall as the lad in the first movie that tries to impress Rogue by conjuring a fireball behind his back, only to have it freeze and crash to the floor. Seems all the real heroes are in New York, after all.
