Six Questions We Need Answered In Season 3 Of ‘The Mandalorian’
The new season of The Mandalorian is now streaming Disney+
Name a better duo than Mando and Grogu, we’ll wait. After two seasons of The Mandalorian and part of The Book of Boba Fett toying with our emotions with the wholesome relationship between Din Djarin and Grogu, we demand answers in The Mandalorian’s third season, streaming March 1 on Disney+.
— Warning: huge spoilers ahead. —
There’s no doubt that Season 3 of the Star Wars original series will be an epic one for fans. Pedro Pascal returns to this natural state on our screens as everyone’s collective father, this time as the space bounty hunter Din Djarin. The end of Season 2 saw Djarin and Grogu share a heartbreaking goodbye, as Grogu heads off on his own adventure with none other than Luke Skywalker to begin his training as a Jedi.
But fans rejoiced as The Book of Boba Fett saw the Mandalorian return to the fray. Grogu was then given the choice to continue his training with Skywalker or leave with Djarin. We can say with certainty that we’d have made the same choice.
So, the dynamic duo are back together and literally flying off into the sunset, or the space version of it — a welcome change to the bittersweet ending of The Mandalorian Season 2. But this is Star Wars after all, and anything’s possible. Here are the questions we’re very keen to have answered in the third season of The Mandalorian.
Will The Mandalorian Be Redeemed For Removing His Helmet?

Disney+
In The Book of Boba Fett, we saw the survivors of the Mandalorian tribe reject our Mando for breaking their code for removing his helmet. But Mando has the Darksaber, which according to their lore, means he can become the ruler of Mandalore, even though their civilisation was destroyed by the Empire.
Will Bo-Katan Fight Mando For The Darksaber?

Disney+
In The Mandalorian, Bo-Katan refused to accept the Darksaber from Djarin, despite nabbing it being her one goal. But that made sense: we saw in Star Wars: Rebels that she became the ruler of Mandalore by accepting the Darksaber before. But because she didn’t win it in combat, some Mandalorians questioned her rule. She ended up losing her Darksaber to the Empire, and she’s been chasing back power ever since.
She wasn’t about to make that same mistake again by accepting the Darksaber as a gift, but it doesn’t mean she won’t be back to take it from Djarin through combat. As former allies, this fight (if it happens) will be an interesting one.
How Much Stronger Is Grogu Now?

Disney+
The trailer already shows off a lot of Grogu action, which brings back fond memories of the first time Grogu used the Force in Season 1. He’s sure to have done some intense Jedi training with Luke Skywalker, and was even offered Yoda’s lightsaber to continue on his Jedi journey. Every great sci-fi/fantasy series has a good ol’ training arc, and I can’t wait for the grand reveal of this one.
What’s The Empire’s Plan?

Apple+
Let’s not overlook the Empire. They came after the Mandalorian hard and fast when he first reneged on his bounty hunter code by taking Grogu back from the Client. And he’s taken the Darksaber too. Whatever revenge the Empire’s plotting, we can be sure that they won’t go easy on the Mandalorian.
Who Are The Jedi?

Disney+
Eyebrows (ours) were raised when we caught a glimpse of a group of Jedi in the trailer. Who are they?! Granted, it could just be a flashback to Order 66. But considering Grogu is now back with Mando, we might be seeing more of them in Season 3.
How Will This Season Tie In To Ahsoka And Rangers Of The New Republic?

Disney+
The upcoming series Ahsoka and Rangers of the New Republic are to be set in the same timeframe as The Mandalorian, with no firm release date on either series. But both shows were said to be interconnected stories, culminating in a “climactic story event”. This event probably won’t be in Season 3 of The Mandalorian, but Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau will undoubtedly start planting the seeds for the ultimate crossover.
