Mallrat And The Veronicas Performed ‘Untouched’ At Field Day, And You Need To See It
We feel so touched right now.
Yesterday, Sydney punters shook off the daze of New Year’s Eve before to make it to Field Day to see the likes of CHVRCHES, Flight Facilities, Rüfus Du Sol and more.
But, despite a by-all-accounts wild closing set from Cardi B, those who braced the early afternoon to catch Mallrat‘s set might’ve gotten the surprise of the day when the Brisbanian brought out The Veronicas mid-show. With help from Mallrats’ DJ, DJ Denim, a new supergroup was formed on-stage.
The group performed a rendition of The Veronicas’ 2007 hit ‘Untouched’, a song which, according to music historians on Twitter, invented the violin.
The crowd, understandably, lost it.
In the videos below, it’s pretty clear the crowd know every single word — even if they haven’t heard the song in 10 years. Looks like they were touched, after all.
