People Are Putting Out Their Passports For Recently Shitcanned Senator Malcolm Roberts
#PutOutYourPassports

He fought the dolphins, NASA and the basic concept of common sense. But now, Malcolm Roberts’ time in the Senate is finally at an end. On Friday the High Court ruled that Roberts, along with a number of other politicians including Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce, were ineligible to serve in Federal Parliament on account of them holding dual citizenship.
Unsurprisingly, people were pretty happy about that.
A number of social media users used the High Court ruling as an opportunity to resurrect a familiar meme, snapping photos of their passports and sharing them with the hashtag #PutOutYourPassports.

I’m impressed by all these people who can actually *find* their passports #putoutyourpassports

Look, it’s an oldie but a goodie.
Still, before we all start chugging champagne and making out with strangers, it’s worth noting that the modern day Socrates doesn’t plan on going quietly. Within hours of Roberts being booted from the Senate, his boss Pauline Hanson confirmed he would be running on the One Nation ticket in Ipswich at the Queensland state election. The election is expected to take place before the end of the year.
On the plus side, he’ll presumably need more than 77 votes to win this time around.
