M·A·C Cosmetics Is Teaming Up With Gelato Messina To Hand Out Free Scoops With Your Make-Up

Your Fri-YAY night outfit is about to get a whole lot sweeter, because M·A·C, Gelato Messina and MECCA MAXIMA are teaming up for the ultimate collaboration: think make-up, gelato, and freebies.

Throughout January and February, Gelato Messina carts will be popping up at various MECCA MAXIMA stores in Sydney and Melbourne. Messina has whipped up some special flavours for the occasion, and anyone who drops more than $30 on M·A·C products in-store will get a free scoop.

 

M·A·C and Messina worked closely to create five brand-new flavours that are all inspired by the most popular shades of M·A·C Lipstick. The Velvet Teddy gelato looks like its make-up counterpart — a rich, velvety nude that suits every skin tone — but it’s 100 percent more edible, a delectable blend of chocolate and hazelnut spliced with strawberry fudge.

The fiery red of the Ruby Woo Lipstick has been reimagined into a cream cheese gelato with classic red velvet, of course. By the looks of it, this gelato is going to become just as much of a cult-classic as the lipstick is.

If you’re a fan of the cool-toned mauve Mehr Lipstick, you’ll want to get your hands on the gelato version — a dairy and nut-free sorbet with Middle Eastern-inspired flavours like rose and blackberry.

Messina turned the silky nude and subtle rose undertones of the Honeylove Lipstick into a honey gelato with delicious, chocolate-covered honeycomb pieces. And the superstar chefs turned the creamy, buildable pink of the Modesty Lipstick into a strawberries and cream gelato with strawberry jam.
