The New ‘Luke Cage’ Trailer Introduces Us To Season 2’s Super Strong Villain

A new trailer has dropped for season two of Luke Cage, in which Harlem’s most bulletproof man gets an equally invulnerable hero to mash fists with.
The new villain is called “Bushmaster” and has the unsettling ability to absolutely smash up the previously notoriously-hard-to-hurt Cage, which implies that this dude has benefitted from the same super-science.
Season two follows our friend on a high after becoming the “hero of Harlem”. But with the stakes raised thanks to the introduction of a nemesis who can actually hurt him, it looks like Cage is going to have to get uncomfortably angry in order to protect his home.
Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple is back, which is great, because she’s one of the best characters in the Marvel Netflix shows.
Also extremely exciting is that Misty Knight is back, and not only does she have a cool robot arm after getting it cut off in The Defenders (yeah, it’s okay if you slept on that hot mess), she’s also decided that Luke Cage is her sidekick, which sounds about right.
Luke Cage season 2 hits Netflix on June 22nd.
