Linda Belcher And Teddy From Bob’s Burgers Star In ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’
At Vulture Festival this weekend, the voice actors were handed the infamous sex contract negotiation scene, to read out in character. It was... disturbing.
Over the weekend, New York Magazine and Vulture held their second annual Vulture Festival: an envy-inducing pop culture conference featuring the showrunners, stars and crew behind a bunch of your favourite shows, films, podcasts and books — like Amy Poehler, Jerry Seinfeld, Tavi Gevinson, Billy Eichner, Jason Schwartzmann, Tig Notaro and more.
On Saturday, they hosted the ‘Animated Voices’ panel, in which voice actors Alex Borstein (Family Guy), John Roberts and Larry Murphy (Bob’s Burgers), Keith and Kenny Lucas (Lucas Bros. Moving Company) and Heather Lawless (Stone Quackers) read out famous scenes in their character’s voices.
The highlight, as you’ve already guessed: Roberts and Murphy — aka the wonderful Linda Belcher, and Bob’s most loyal customer Teddy — negotiating the sex contract in Fifty Shades of Grey.
“GENITAL CLAMPS?!” Linda yells. “Absolutely not. WHAT ARE BUTT PLUGS?”
