Terrible news for people who hate joy: Hamilton creator and Brooklyn Nine-Nine superstan Lin-Manuel Miranda is set to guest star on the police sitcom next month as Amy Santiago’s brother.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Miranda will appear as David Santiago in the March 7 episode, titled ‘The Golden Child’.

Miranda was one of a number of prominent celebrities, alongside the likes of Mark Hamill, Guillermo del Toro and Sean Astin, who rallied behind Brooklyn Nine-Nine on social media after it was cancelled by Fox at the end of season five. Since the series was resurrected by NBC, co-creator Dan Goor has expressed his interest in having the “Guardians of the Nine-Nine” all make appearances on the show.

“We’re huge fans of all of those actors,” Goor told EW last year. “And we’d love to try to figure out ways to put them on our world.”

Fans have been pretty chill about the news of Miranda’s casting. By which I mean they have not been remotely chill.

You can watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine season six in Australia on SBS Viceland and SBS On Demand.
