Liam Gallagher Singing Oasis Classics And Yelling About Handwashing Is Truly Uplifting
You may know 'Wonderwall', but do you know 'Wonderwash'?
Never, ever doubt that Liam Gallagher is seriously concerned about the state of public health.
Like a lot of us, the Oasis singer is holed up at home practicing social distancing right now — so with nothing better to do, he decided to film himself washing his hands and yelling old Oasis tracks, complete with coronavirus-influenced lyrics.
First up was, of course, ‘Wonderwall’, which Gallagher ingeniously renamed ‘Wonderwash’.
“Today is gonna be the day that they’re gonna throw it back to you,” he sings, wearing a bucket hat and staring at the camera with a gleeful intensity that can only be described as A Lot. “By now, you shoulda somehow realised what you gotta do…wash your hands, scrub your toes, scratch your arse and pick your nose.”
Buoyed by the apparent groundswell of support from commenters, he decided to give it another crack — this time with ‘Soapersonic’, complete with the line “Wash your hands you little fuckers.”
He repeated the line for the next song, ‘Champagne Supernova’, before flicking his now very clean hands at the camera and exiting stage right.
Watch the clips below, and remember: Wash your hands you little fuckers.
