Sure, she’s the world’s biggest popstar, she’s the 13th-richest celebrity on Forbes’ ‘Celebrity 100’ list, she hangs out with famous friends, and she smokes more weed than you’ve ever seen in your life (well, some of you), but Rihanna isn’t that different from the rest of us… when it comes to drunken weekend shenanigans, at least.
Some secret footage (we say ‘secret’ because it’s been stupidly shot between the legs of two bodyguards) has emerged of the 25-year-old hitting up the Thai Royal bar in Cologne over the weekend, while on break from the German leg of her Diamonds world tour. The casually-clad (and casually-sober) singer grabbed a friend and indulged in some classic karaoke standards — No Doubt’s ‘Don’t Speak’ and Kings Of Leon’s ‘Sex On Fire’ — and boy, did it sound terrible.
“She had just ordered some drinks and fries for the table then just decided to get up and sing.”, UK tabloid The Mirror reports a source saying. “Some drinks”, huh? She’s breaking the key rule of karaoke: pass the mic! Still, karaoke with Rihanna looks fun; even though she’s a professional singer, she doesn’t take it as seriously as that one friend we all have who always picks a slow ballad that’ll showcase their vocals. Gah, I hate that friend — no one wants to hear you warble Whitney Houston songs all night, pick some Souljah Boy!
