When The Lego Movie hit theatres way back in 2014, Chris Pratt was probably best known for his work on Parks and Recreation. Five years later, and he’s one of the biggest action stars in Hollywood. Which is probably how the writers of The Lego Movie 2 got the idea for his latest character.

We already knew Pratt was reprising his role as Emmett in the animated sequel. But now a new trailer has revealed he’ll be playing a second character: galaxy-defending archaeologist cowboy raptor trainer Rex Dangervest.

In addition to taking the piss out of Pratt’s movie career, the film takes aim at dark, gritty sequels in general, with the trailer opening on a Lego world seemingly inspired by Mad Max. We also get a glimpse at the villainous Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi, a shapeshifting alien voiced by the excellent Tiffany Haddish.
