“Lean Into The Wind, My Brother”: Hulk Hogan Was Tricked Into Sending Tony Abbott A Message Last Night
Yep, apparently this whole thing can get slightly more ridiculous.
In case you hadn’t quite worked it out, Tony Abbott had a bad day yesterday. Though it started just like any other (with him being called a “wanker” from a moving car next to a freeway in Perth), it ended with a leadership challenge from one of his best mates, his entire party being torn to shreds, and him being unceremoniously kicked out of office three days before he was eligible for his full Prime Ministerial pension.
After a long evening, Malcolm Turnbull was appointed new Liberal leader and incumbent Prime Minister by 10 votes, he shocked the nation with a speech that didn’t mention boats once, and Tone slunk off into the night ready to begin life anew.

But, intent on giving him something to smile about in this time of need, one Twitter user sought a very special message of consolation; a message from former WWE legend-turned-occasionally racist hunk of muscle Hulk Hogan.

Though this is a pretty common trick these days, its payoff is no less sweet. After Hogan started trending across Australia, he picked up on the gag, deleted the tweet, and blocked the guy who sent it, but it was too late. It was everywhere. Eventually he decided to take his own advice and lean into the wind.
@slopezAU yo Steve after the tempoary dark cloud the sun will shine brighter than ever, you have a huge victory coming your way my brother.HH

In fact, it seems like this is what Hogan spends most of his time doing these days. His Twitter feed is stacked with adorable shoutouts to fans, surprisingly sincere messages, and retweets of people’s dorky family members.

And really, the message still stands. Tony, the nation’s eternal creepy old uncle, should definitely keep his head up. He miraculously got a sendoff that was just as ridiculous as his entire career.
I fucking love Twitter #LeanIntoTheWind
