Labor Released A Colouring Book And It’s The Stuff Of Nightmares
They did Penny Wong dirty.
The Australian Labor Party has released a nightmare-fuel colouring book to *checks notes* lift spirits during the pandemic.
“We understand lockdowns have been rough, so as a bit of a fun distraction we’ve put together this free Labor Colouring Book, showcasing some iconic moments in Labor’s and this country’s history,” they wrote in an announcement on Thursday. “While we made this for kids it isn’t just for kids, anyone is welcome to have a go. Let’s see how creative you can all get!” the party said.
The six page arts and crafts bundle features pen tool outlines of Leader of the Opposition Anthony Albanese posing with a kangaroo, Senator Penny Wong holding an equality flag, Bob Hawke on the Sydney Harbour, and former PM Julia Gillard’s standing in front of quotes from her famous misogyny speech. Many were quick to point out the absence of Kevin Rudd, Paul Keating, and Gough Whitlam.
While the PDF looks like a first year design student’s assignment that only just got a credit, the harmless activity is a bit of fun, even if they did everyone’s likeness really, really dirty. People have been quick to banish its cursed energy:
