Mark Humphries Drops The Trailer For ‘The Killing Season 2: The Shortening’
The sequel nobody asked for.
The Killing Season gave Australians a glimpse behind the curtain during the tumultuous Rudd-Gillard-Rudd years. Now, with Labor and Bill Shorten having cocked up another election, comedian Mark Humphries and the team at the ABC reckon it’s the perfect time for a follow-up.
Titled The Killing Season 2: The Shortening, the trailer for the sequel series promises “another televised Labor Party therapy session”, and features interviews with everyone from made up MPs like Darren Dunce and Sophie Lemming to actual Labor hacks like Sam Dastyari and Kevin Rudd.
“There are a lot of things to be learned from this election,” muses Rudd. “The most important of which is to have a name that rhymes with a number.”
