Watch The Moment Kendrick Lamar Had To Call Out A White Fan For Using The ‘N’ Word
She sung the slur three times before Lamar stopped her.
After inviting a fan on stage at Alabama’s Hangout Festival on Sunday, Kendrick Lamar was forced to interrupt and call them out for repeatedly singing the ‘N’ word while rapping one of his tracks.
Lamar had brought the white female fan onstage to sing his 2012 track ‘M.A.A.D. City’, but ended up stopping her almost immediately after she failed to omit the racial slur from the song’s chorus.
Despite the overwhelming boos from the crowd, the girl appeared to not know what she had done, and jokingly said to Kendrick: “Am I not cool enough for you? What’s up bro? I’m used to singing this like I wrote it.”
“You gotta bleep one single word though,” Kendrick calmly responded.
Despite the crowd yelling for her to get off stage, the rapper graciously gave her one more shot to sing the hook — but ended up ushering her off stage quickly after.

It’s not the first time this year a crowd have been called out for using the racial slur: a couple of months ago, American group BROCKHAMPTON told a Denver audience they “should know better”.
“Ya’ll white people know better, don’t say that shit,” band member Ameer Vann told the crowd. “Your parents should have taught you better.”
Lamar will land Down Under in late July to headline Splendour in the Grass alongside Lorde and Vampire Weekend. He’s also locked in a number of solo arena shows around the country — for all dates and ticket details, head over here.
