Kanye’s Gross Song About Sleeping With All His Sisters-In-Law Is Officially Here
He cropped Kris Jenner out of the album artwork. Guess that'd be too weird.
About a fortnight ago, ‘XTCY’, a cutting room floor track from Kanye West’s Ye, was leaked online — and while we were kind of hoping it’d go away, it’s just been given an official release.
Clocking in at just under three minutes, the song sounds fine: it’s just all a little bit gross. Like Ye opener ‘I Thought About Killing You’, it starts with Kanye confessing he has sick thoughts, before expanding to say those thoughts are how much he wants to “smash” his four sisters-in-law, Kourtney, Kendall, Kylie and Khloé.
Round it out with the moaning samples found throughout, and you’ve got a dark twisted fantasy — but it ain’t beautiful.
The album artwork is a painting of a recent snap of the Kardashian-Jenners, though West has cropped out momager Kris Jenner. Guess that would be too weird.
The song was uploaded to WeTransfer by DJ Clark Kent a few weeks ago — apparently he was hanging with West in the studio and they decided to let it drop. Considering it didn’t make Ye, it’s hard to not read it as a way to generate headlines and mess with the media, rather than release a song he actually cares about. Anyway, now you can listen to it on your streaming service of choice.

It joins West’s earlier 2018 releases, Ye and Kids See Ghosts, his album with Kid Cudi, not to mention the three other G.O.O.D Music releases (Pusha T’s Daytona, Teyana Taylor’s K.T.S.E, Nas’ Nasir) that he produced and dropped in June/July. It’s been a big couple of months.
