Christmas is here early, and we couldn’t have asked for a better gift: Please Like Me creator and star Josh Thomas has a new series in the works, and it’s sounds like a good ‘un.

The show will be titled Everything’s Gonna Be Okay, and stars Thomas as Nicholas, a neurotic 25-year-old living at home with his single dad and two teenage half-sisters, one of whom has autism. After his dad is diagnosed with a terminal illness, it falls to Nicholas to keep the family together.

We wrote about the series pilot earlier this year, and now the show has been picked up for ten episodes by American network Freeform. Thomas wrote the pilot and will also serve as showrunner, while he’ll be joined in front of the camera by Kayla Cromer, Maeve Press and Adam Faison.

“The absolute bestest thing about having a brand new TV show is getting to create new characters,” said Thomas in a statement. “I love the characters in this show, and I love how our cast depicts them — they are funny and kind and fascinating. I feel very grateful to Freeform for giving me the opportunity to introduce them to you.”

It’ll be a tough job getting over the high bar set by Please Like Me, which has only gotten more love since wrapping up at the end of 2016. Still, if anyone can do it, it’s this guy:
