‘HIMYM’s Josh Radnor Turned Trump’s Unhinged Rally Speech Into A Song And Fuck, It’s Perfect

Over the weekend, US President Donald J Trump held a rally in Tulsa Oklahoma and it, ahem, was gloriously fucked up.
For starters, there was the fact that only 6200 people turned up, a little short of the one million that had registered for the event.
That was due to some rather nifty organising by the K-pop community and TikTok teens, who realised you could just register for tickets and not actually turn up, which massively overinflated the expected attendance leading up to the rally. In reality, Trump’s rally was smaller than a Wiggles concert.
Then there was his speech, which ran for a mind-numbing two hours and included a six-minute rant explaining why he awkwardly walked down a ramp at West Point military academy a week earlier.
“I just saluted almost 600 times. I just made a big speech. I sat for other speeches. I’m being baked. I’m being baked like a cake,” Trump told the crowd. “I said, ‘General, there’s no way I can make it down that ramp without falling on my ass, General. I have no railing’. It would’ve been better if I’d fallen and slid down the damn ramp.”
The speech was classically unhinged, and it’s only been made better by How I Met Your Mother’s Josh Radnor, who (for some reason) decided to set it to music.
“I set Trump’s insane Tulsa rally ramp speech to music,” Radnor said. “He is not a good lyricist.”
The resulting song sounds not unlike a Mumford & Sons b-side, and Radnor screaming “I JUST MADE A BIG SPEECH” will echo through your brain for days to come. Listen to it below.
