Josh Homme’s Children Have Filed Restraining Orders Against Him
Homme's lawyer says the singer categorically denies the allegations levelled against him.
Brody Dalle, the ex-wife of Josh Homme, lead singer of Queens of the Stone Age, has filed restraining orders against the singer on behalf of their children.
The children are five and ten. As noted by Homme’s attorney, this is not the first time that Dalle has brought these claims to the legal system.
“Ms. Dalle has previously brought these claims to the police, [Department of Child and Family Services], and the presiding judge of the family law court, all of whom have declined to take any action based upon these spurious claims,” said the attorney of Homme, Susan Wiesner, as reported by Pitchfork.
Previous attempts by Dalle to get a restraining order on behalf of her children have been denied.
“The allegations made by Ms. Dalle against Mr. Homme are categorically false,” Weisner said. “In order to protect the children, we will not be making any further statements.”
The allegations made by Dalle against Homme include physical and verbal abuse, as well as driving under the influence while accompanied by the children. Additionally, as reported by Rolling Stone, Homme is alleged to have threatened to “fucking murder and kill” Dalle’s new boyfriend.
Homme is best known as the singer of Queens of the Stone Age, the band he has fronted for over a decade. He is also the ex-frontperson of Kyuss, the influential stoner metal outfit.
