A Bunch Of Dudes Named Josh Had A Massive “Josh Fight” And Nobly Let The Tiniest Josh Win
Maybe we can trust men who have names that start with J after all.
In the feel good news we’ve all been desperate for, a bunch of big Joshs have let a little Josh take the crown as The Supreme Josh in the Josh Fight of 2021.
What is 2021’s Josh Fight, you ask? Well, last year a legend named Josh Swain created a group chat with a bunch of other men named Josh Swain and sent coordinates for a massive battle to find the supreme Josh.
“Precisely, 4/24/2021, 12:00PM, meet at these coordinates, we fight, whoever wins gets to keep the name, everyone else has to change their name, you have a year to prepare, good luck,” the original Facebook message read.
And even though Josh Swain started the whole thing as a giant joke exactly a year ago, the Josh Battle ended up taking place over the weekend at Air Park in Lincoln, Nebraska, with hundreds of Joshs from across the US meeting for the historic meme-turned-battle.
But if that wasn’t already good enough, 4-year-old Little Josh was actually named the winner after a huge pool noodle battle where he adorably slayed all other medium and big Joshs in the area.
so did anyone else know that there was a massive pool noodle battle planned between all the people named Josh today that was ultimately won by a 5-year old named Josh who was crowned The Supreme Josh or was I just supposed to find this out on my own pic.twitter.com/ZR6XEXGsrV

In a post-game interview, Little Josh aka Josh Vinson Jr, was crowned with a Burger King hat and shared that he “fought everyone” and “had a lot of fun” before the big Joshs held their new king in the air.
To make the whole thing just that little bit sweeter, the Josh Fight actually raised over $11,500 USD for the Children’s Hospital and Medical Centre — and Josh Vinson Jr, the child who was crowned ultimate Josh, had actually received treatment at the same facility for seizures when he was two.
Along with the money, between 90 to 140 kg of food was also donated to the Food Bank of Lincoln by those who attended the Josh Fight.
On the fundraising page, the original Josh Swain explained that he started the Josh Fight as “a complete joke” but now with “the attention and focus of a large number of people” decided to use the opportunity to donate to a worth cause.

The fact that the #JoshFight winner, 4-year-old Josh Vinson Jr., was not only crowned the champion of the fight but also had received treatment at the children's hospital which the event raised around $8,000 for, is an incredible display of the positive power of the internet. pic.twitter.com/q6cqmS40WD

I’ll say it. This is how Game of Thrones should’ve ended.

But even though Little Josh took out the main battle of the day, the original Josh did come out as the winner of the Josh Swains through a rock, scissors, paper game. After winning a best of three game, group chat Josh Swain beat Nebraska Josh Swain before the pool noodle Josh Fight commenced.
The wholesome display of pure joy was so iconic that Air Park Green Area coordinates of the Josh Fight have been renamed to the “Legendary Josh Battlefield” on Google Maps in honour of the momentous occasion.

Truly one for the history books, I reckon.
