The ABC Will Be Airing A Special John Clarke Tribute This Easter
The special will feature an intro from his friend and collaborator, Bryan Dawe.
This week popular satirist John Clarke passed away, prompting a huge outpouring of grief but also appreciation for his contributions to comedy in both Australia and New Zealand.
In particular, his work as one half of Clarke and Dawe has been praised as some of the best political satire the country’s ever seen.
John Clarke: respected by his peers, adored by his fans, loved by his colleagues with a reputation as a one of the nicest blokes. RIP.

John Clarke spent most of his career in Australia. Now we'll claim him back. He's our Phar Lap of comedy. https://t.co/00ipkk8KQ9

So sad to hear of the passing of the brilliant John Clarke. The sharpest, driest wit on Aussie TV. 6:56 on Thursdays will never be the same.

Now ABC has announced that they will screen a special, John Clarke: Thanks for Your Time, on Easter Monday. The 30-minute special will “feature a line-up of those closest to the legendary comedian reflecting on his career and contribution to comedy and film” and includes an introduction from his friend and collaborator, Bryan Dawe.
The special will also feature former Prime Minister Paul Keating, Gina Riley, Sam Neill, Andrew Knight, Philip Adams, Max Gillies, Colin Lane and Frank Woodley. Clarke’s daughters will also share their favourite memories of the comedy legend. Sounds like a sad but nice time all round.
