Jay-Z Unveils Album Artwork In A Medieval Church, Because He Can
God complex, anyone?
In yet another attempt to upstage Yeezus, Jay-Z has unveiled the artwork of his new tech product record, Magna Carta Holy Grail in the most God-complexy way imaginable: the middle of a church.
It’s sitting on a plaque under glass in England’s Salisbury Cathedral, next to one of the four remaining copies of the 1215 Magna Carta document.
Guess which one is which.
To be a fly on the wall in that negotiation room…
The exhibition is running until the end of July, and you can see more pictures here. Meanwhile, the album itself gets released on July 9 — or in three and a half hours, if you have a Samsung.
Oh and hey, Samsung users — Atlanta rapper Killer Mike found the Magna Carta Holy Grail app requesting some questionable permissions. So, you know, watch out for that.
