Jamiroquai Singer Confirms That No, He Did Not Storm The Capitol Dressed As A Viking
"I’m afraid I wasn’t with all those freaks.”
Jamiroquai’s Jay Kay has been forced to confirm that he was not actually a part of the raging horde that stormed the Capitol in Washington D.C. yesterday.
‘Jamiroquai’ began trending on Twitter as the riot progressed, after users noticed a similarity between a much-photographed rioter dressed as a Viking with American flag face paint, and the British songwriter responsible for such ’90s bangers as ‘Cosmic Girl’.

This morning, Kay confirmed in a (slightly awkward) video posted to the band’s social media that no, he was not the Viking rioter.
“Good morning world! Now some of you may be thinking you saw me in Washington last night but I’m afraid I wasn’t with all those freaks,” Kay said.
He went on to wish fans a happy new year, and thanked them for the recent birthday wishes that came his way — Kay just turned 51.
“And just to say, COVID-19 still going on. UK lockdown. However, the way we treat our animals: farming them, caging them, all the rest of it. We’re just going to keep this again and again. So, hopefully we’ll try and learn our lesson.”

The Viking rioter has been identified as Jake Angeli, a resident of Arizona who’s also known as the “QAnon Shaman”.
