Absolute Knob Jake Paul Is Getting Dragged For Justifying His Pandemic Parties As “Living Life”

"I personally am not the type of person who's gonna sit around and not live my life," Jake said about a pandemic that has taken over 689,000 lives.

Every few months, Jake Paul enters the news cycle again and it’s never a good time.

Recently the YouTuber and internet personality made headlines for throwing a giant party on July 14, in the middle of the pandemic. As photos and videos of the Calabasas mansion party made its way onto social media, large numbers of maskless influencers were seen not following social distancing guidelines.

News of the irresponsible party — which was shown to Paul’s 20 million impressionable young followers through social media — even made its way back to the Mayor of Calabasas, Alicia Weintraub.

Speaking to Fox 11, Mayor Alicia Weintraub said she was “outraged” that attendees were “acting like COVID-19 doesn’t exist.”

“They’re having this large party, no social distancing, no masks,” the Mayor continued. “It’s just a big, huge disregard for everything that everybody is trying to do to get things back to functioning.”

Well, if Jake Paul’s pandemic parties weren’t already bad enough, his justification for them is about 7000 times worse.

Chatting to Insider about his large gatherings during COVID-19, Paul irresponsibly excused his actions by saying that he isn’t going to “sit around and not live [his] life” because of the pandemic.

“I don’t know what to think of it, to be honest… No one has answers, our leadership is failing us, and everyone kind of just doesn’t know what to do,” Jake Paul said. “But I personally am not the type of person who’s gonna sit around and not live my life.”

Totally ignoring the fact that over 689,000 people across the world have literally lost their lives over others — *cough* like influencers *cough* — not taking COVID-19 seriously, Jake Paul was rightfully dragged to filth over his comments.

No comments, however, have been more critical than fellow YouTuber, Tyler Oakley, who has been using his platform to call out influencers who have been downplaying the severity of COVID-19 over the last few weeks.

Despite slinging a simple “fuck you” to Jake Paul’s way this time, Oakley has been openly criticising and tagging influencers who he’s seen partying in large groups like Tana Mongeau, James Charles, Nikita Dragun and Charli D’Amelio.

While some of these influencers — like James Charles and Tana Mongeau — have apologised for their careless partying after being called out by fans and followers, Jake Paul seems to currently be focused on just ~living his life~.

And there’s truly nothing that sounds more Jake Paul™️ than that.
