Israel Folau Is Back On His Homophobic Bullshit
He's done it again.
We regret to inform you that Israel Folau is back on his bullshit.
On Tuesday, the rugby star tweeted a video of a sermon by David Wilkerson in which the deceased American evangelist decried tolerance of homosexuality and same-sex marriage.
“With great love I wanted to share this video in the hope that people watch it and think about it,” wrote Folau. “Jesus is coming back soon and he wants us to turn to him through repentance and baptism in the name of Jesus Christ.”
The 11-minute video contains a number of references to the supposed dangers of homosexuality. At one point, footage of protesters waving rainbow flags is paired with audio of Wilkerson declaring that we are living in a time of “rampant inequity” and “sexual perversions beyond description”.
“Now is the time to get right with God, because this generation is lost… has lost the fear of God,” Wilkerson insists.
The preacher also bemoans the rise of “tolerance towards same-sex marriage”.
“Many Christian young people are saying ‘we need to be more tolerant’, and so they too believe that same-sex marriage is OK,” he complains.
With great love i wanted to share this video in the hope that people watch it and think about it. Jesus is coming back soon and he wants us to turn to him through repentance and baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38) please don’t harden your heart https://t.co/PtDoPCQDco

Folau previously came under fire after writing on Instagram that gay people are going to hell. He insists that he’s not a homophobe though, which um, sure buddy.
The Instagram incident was met with a lot of hand-wringing from Rugby Australia but didn’t actually result in any kind of reprimand. But I’m sure we can all look forward to them taking a much stronger stand this time, right?
