Instagram Banned A Topless Pic Of Rihanna, Rihanna Had A Perfect Response

Well played, Rihanna.

Fans of Rihanna would be pretty familiar with the singer’s often risque Instagram posts. When she’s not posting pictures of herself casually blowing weed all over the place, she’s doing things like this:

Or this:

Or this:

Or, well, this:

It’s what she does. She likes doing those things. Instagram, on the other hand, does not. Earlier this week, the singer’s account was shut down after she posted an image of her brand new cover shoot from French magazine, Lui (topless Rihanna and Houellebecq — such a French publication). Minutes later, Instagram had taken down the photo, saying it “violated their nudity policy”. Rihanna’s response was pretty great:

The whole scandal comes just days after Rihanna was called out in Q Magazine by indie-rockers Warpaint, over what singer Theresa Wayman called her “hyper-sexual music”. “Rihanna has an insane voice, she could’ve done something so much more subtle and artful,” said Wayman in the interview, where she also actually referred to Beyonce as “a slut” (oh boy).

Wayman issued an apology for her statements overnight. “Beyonce and Rihanna are the last two women on earth who I would ever want to disrespect or disregard,” she wrote on the band’s Facebook page. “As far as Rihanna goes, if I had that voice I could die right now a happy woman.  The journalist and I were discussing a hypothetical situation in which Rihanna was an artist active outside of the mainstream music scene. What would her music sound like? What would she wear? What decisions would she make? PURELY hypothetical… I apologize to fans of Beyonce and Rihanna, I fucking love them too. Me and and my big mouth.”

Somehow, I don’t think Rihanna has any idea who the hell Warpaint are, or any time for their nonsense. Her last Instagram post was this:

Yep, that definitely looks more fun than internet drama.
