Netflix Has Finally Decided What To Do About ‘House Of Cards’
Her turn.
Netflix has confirmed that House of Cards will return for a sixth and final season centred around Robin Wright’s character, Claire Underwood.
The future of the political drama has been up in the air since production was suspended in late October following allegations of sexual misconduct against leading man Kevin Spacey. Netflix subsequently stated that it would “not be involved with any further production of House of Cards that includes Kevin Spacey.”
On Monday, the streaming giant confirmed that the series would go back into production in 2018, with Netflix’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos promising that the shortened eight-episode season would “bring closure” for the fans.
There’s still no word on how the writers will address the absence of Spacey’s character, who has been at the front and centre of the show since day one. That being said, anyone who is up to date with the series will know that making Claire the chief protagonist going forward shouldn’t actually be all that hard.
So what House of Cards is saying….is that the President was involved with a huge scandal and now a woman is taking the lead.
Sounds good to me. https://t.co/N22Tq8qGj6

House of Cards killing off Frank and focusing on Claire is an absolutely flawless metaphor for the ideal outcome of men being outed as predators. She was always superior by every measure, and now we can stop paying attention to him entirely.

House of Cards to return with only Robin Wright because in America we have zero tolerance for sexual assault from our fictional presidents.
