The Hunger Games trilogy did for dystopian young adult fiction what Fifty Shades of Grey did for milquetoast, morally questionable erotica and The Da Vinci Code did for poorly written thrillers with half-baked quasi-historical overtones. The power of the punchy, confronting books has been seriously diluted by the umpteen tie-ins, rip-offs and merchandising cash cows playing off their success.

Not least of which — according to the latest Honest Trailer from Screen Junkies, at least — is the final instalment in the four-part movie franchise, Mockingjay Part Two. From the meandering, ultimately unsatisfactory plot to the infuriating habit movie studios have developed of splitting the final chapter of a story into two, completely unnecessary parts, the only good thing Honest Trailers can say about the last Hunger Games movie is what a big ol’ babe Gabe is.

Also, fair warning if you haven’t seen all four movies: spoilers abound.
