Ever since news broke about the all-female Ocean’s Eleven spinoff, we’ve seen the usual backlash play out across the internet. Why can’t Hollywood come up with any new ideas? Are we so damn PC we need to reboot everything with women? Do women even watch movies?

Suddenly, people who had little to no emotional attachment to the 2001 caper film (which, for the record, was a remake itself) seemed deeply concerned about protecting its legacy.

In spite of these killjoys, I’m crazy excited for Ocean’s Eight. For starters, I love me a heist film, no matter how preposterous. Secondly, the cast is absolutely stacked. Cate Blanchett! Mindy Kaling! Awkwafina!

Now, thanks to Warner Bros, we have our first official look at the new Ocean’s crew in action. Get hyped.

According to the film’s official synopsis, Ocean’s Eight follows Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock) as she attempts to pull off “the heist of the century at New York City’s star-studded annual Met Gala. Her first stop is to assemble the perfect crew: Lou (Cate Blanchett); Nine Ball (Rihanna); Amita (Mindy Kaling); Constance (Awkwafina); Rose (Helena Bonham Carter); Daphne Kluger (Anne Hathaway); and Tammy (Sarah Paulson).

Yes, Rihanna is playing a character named Nine Ball. How could this movie possibly be anything other than great?
