Protesters In Hawaii Trolled Donald Trump In The Best Way Possible
Aloha also means goodbye.
Of the many, many disgusting things that Donald Trump has done, spreading the racist conspiracy theory that Barack Obama was not born in the United States is right near the top of the list. Trump’s ascent to power was based in no small part on race-based fear-mongering, and on his continued attempts to undermine the legitimacy of the nation’s first black president.
The suggestion that Obama is not an American is particularly galling to the people of his home state of Hawaii. And so, when Trump visited there on his way to Asia on Friday, they decided to troll him with signs welcoming him to Kenya — Obama’s supposed birthplace — instead.

Hundreds of people protested outside the Hawaii State Capitol, where they expressed concern about a number of the President’s policies including the travel ban and his stance on environmental protection.
Trump won just 29 percent of the vote in Hawaii during the 2016 election, so it’s hardly surprising that his reception was a little bit on the frosty side.
