Have You Tried Out The ABC’s Vote Compass Yet? It’s Great!
Don't know how you should vote this election? Then cheat.
The election has been called, the first official week of campaigning has come to a close, the first few campaign ads have been totally boring, and we’ve had our first delicious taste of all the gaffes.
If you want to sift through all those mountains of tripe and work out who actually stands for what, here’s a cheat: The ABC’s Vote Compass. It’s a quick (“vaguely Orwellian”) quiz that will float ideas past you — “Boats carrying asylum seekers should be turned back”; “The federal government should put a price on carbon” — and asks you to rank them on a scale from strongly disagree to strongly agree.

After rating how much each issue matters to you, and how much you identify with each party and trust each party leader, it will land you on a handy grid that shows where you sit between The Greens, Labor and The Liberals.
Nah, just kidding.
Most usefully though, it shows you how each party will serve you based on each issue, and where they sit in relation to each other. Making it pretty much the only resource I’ve found that simply and effectively explains what these guys actually stand for.
And while you’re here: enrol to vote (or change your address) by Monday August 12. That’s THIS MONDAY. Hurry! Do it!
