Accio Happiness: You Should Really Watch This Tiny Dog Do Tricks To ‘Harry Potter’ Spells
The dog is named Remus, and we love him.
Despite J.K. Rowling’s latest shit-stirring and continual attempts to ruin the Harry Potter series one revisionist Tweet at a time, the wizarding world still has a strong hold on us.
You know what else the internet really loves? Dogs. As does YouTuber Anna Brisbin aka Brizzy Voices, who is currently training her 10-month old dachshund, Remus — no surprises for guessing her favourite HP character.
In order to combine her three loves (dogs, content, and Harry Potter), she’s taught him commands for when she shouts spells at him, and then made a very, very cute video.
There are the obvious ones — ‘stupefy’ for ‘stay’, ‘avada kedavra’ for ‘play dead’ — as well as some more advanced tricks, too, even if they stretch the spell meanings a little. ‘Wingardium leviosa’ makes Remus jump up onto his hind legs: we’re assuming he’s still learning how to fly. He’s still young. There’s time.
Some tricks are more just ‘say things while Remus’ is already doing something, like saying ‘aguamenti’ when he’s about to pee, but hey, we don’t care. It’s all just very good.
If you’ve already fallen in love with Remus, you can follow him on Instagram. He’s extremely photogenic.
